CO2 Emissions Reduction through Solar Power Installation
MEKTEC is promoting the installation of solar power generation facilities. We generate renewable energy and reduce CO2 emissions by utilizing rooftops and unused land to expand the share of our private power generation. We also visualize power generation output in real time and are working to optimize energy usage.
Recycling Used Cooking Oil from an Employee Cafeteria into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF)
At our Ushiku Plant in Japan, we participate in the Fry to Fly Project to promote the use of SAF. Each month, we collect and provide about 100 liters of used cooking oil from our employee cafeteria. Recycling this oil into SAF—which reduces greenhouse gas emissions by about 60 to 80% compared to conventional fuel—enables us to contribute to resource circulation and the decarbonization of the aviation sector.
